“Leading Students to Encounter God and Become Sold-Out Lifelong Followers of Him”

Our youth (7th-12th grade) ministry is all about power. Our goal is to teach students to first of all, experience, and then live in the power of God. Teenagers are faced with many challenges today. We want to point our youth in the right direction--toward Jesus Christ--the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We strive to lead them in living a vibrant, strong, victorious Christian life.

It all starts with our Power Base, which is our Sunday morning Bible study at 10:15 a.m. The Scripture tells us that a cord of three strands is not easily broken. That is why we have Power Cords, which is our youth discipleship initiative on Sunday nights at 5 p.m.

In addition to those ministries, we have an outstanding youth worship experience known around the world as Power Hour. This great time together starts at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday night.

We also have plenty of Summer Ministries for the students to enjoy, as well as numerous Other Activities. Our goal is not simply to fill the calendar with meaningless activity, but to purposely string together different events and ministries that will lead students to encounter God and to become sold-out lifelong followers of Him. To top it all off, our students have the opportunity to be involved in Youth Leadership Teams. These teams are designed to give students the opportunity and challenge them to be leaders in our ministry.

One of the most important ministries that we do is our Parent Ministry. It is vital to us to reach out to the parents of the students at FBC.
