I am grateful to God for the loving direction of Christian parents, the consistent influence of the local body of Christ and the conviction of the Holy Spirit on me as an 8 year old where questions of my heart were answered as to how I can be right with God. My mother helped me understand that repentance of sin and faith in Jesus is what I needed to do to be saved. God arranged it all and by His grace I placed my faith in Jesus Christ. It is something I did and continue to do as God gives me each new day.

When I was 16 I began hearing from the Lord about serving Him in ministry. After talking with trusted and Godly people in my life and praying about the matter for over a year I heard a message at FBC McAlester that confirmed the call and I responded by faith to serve God in ministry. While going to college on a basketball scholarship at Eastern Oklahoma State College and then to Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and pursuing a music degree, I received training to serve the local church. With opportunities in ministry to serve churches on staff through Music and Youth, I served in Hanna, McAlester, Hartshorne, Ada and Bixby. Then in 2005 I responded to God’s leading back to Durant to serve as Associate Pastor.

My wife Laura and I have three grown children: Kyle, Stephanie, and Natalie. We have been blessed to be here over the past decade. Kyle and his wife Kalyn had our first grandchild, Kale on July 2, 2016 and I am also very thankful for my girls as Stephanie has started a career teaching elementary music and Natalie is engaged to be married to Kadon Eppler.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow! And Thank God for a loving and supportive church family.
