BIBLE STUDY/SMALL GROUPS : We have options for everyone to study God's Word. Our Bible study groups start with new born babies and go all the way up to ninety-somethings. We have small groups and large groups. We have groups that have a little and groups that have a lot of discussion. We have a Bible study for everyone. COLLEGE MINISTRY: The collegiate years are crucial years in the life of any adult. It is in this period that life changing decisions
are made concerning vocation, marriage, relationships, and the depth of one's faith. We at First Baptist Church
want to make this period of life as meaningful and successful as possibility allow.
Sunday: 10:00 am - Every Sunday morning we meet for food, fellowship and an in-depth time of Bible study in the Family Life Center.
8:00pm - Sunday evenings “Pursuit” Small group bible studies on and around the campus led by college students during the Fall and Spring semesters at SOSU.
MEN'S MINISTRY: We have an engaging Men's Ministry. Every Wednesday night the men meet in the Chapel for a Men's Bible study
led by Brother James Robinson. There are events planned year round for men to fellowship and worship their God together.
WOMEN'S MINISTRY :Jesus placed an unprecedented value upon women during His ministry, and First Baptist Durant wants to emulate our Savior by encouraging and equipping women in our community to pursue Him! We support discipleship by offering regular women’s bible studies, which take place on both Tuesday mornings and Wednesday evenings during the regular school year. Childcare is provided at both sessions. We also encourage fellowship among our ladies by coordinating groups interested in attending the Oklahoma State Ladies Retreat at Falls Creek each spring, as well as other conferences throughout the year. Our activities and studies are attended by ladies of all ages and backgrounds, so join us as we celebrate and share our uniqueness in Christ!
CELEBRATE RECOVERY : A Christ centered program that gives people the resources and relationships to help recover from life's hurts, habits, and hang-ups. This is a program for anyone struggling with past or current dysfunctions or compulsions, whether they are affecting their own life or the lives of those around them. The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the Eight Recovery Principles found in the Beatitudes and Christ-Centered Twelve Steps. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.
DIVORCECARE/DC4K : Divorce Care is a divorce recovery support group to help persons recover from divorce and separation. DC4K is a special group to help your children heal from the pain caused by a separation or divorce. There aren't many people around you who understand the pain your divorce or separation has caused. That's the reason for DivorceCare. At DivorceCare, you will become part of a small support group of people who are also experiencing separation and divorce. By interacting with these people, you'll learn there are others who understand what you are feeling and will be able to offer you encouragement. You'll also have a chance to talk about the information presented during the seminars. Many participants say these support groups are the most helpful part of the program, but most importantly, you'll learn how to deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.
