Our Program

Our class is for children three years of age. (as of September 1 and potty trained)

Class is on Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

The cost is $125 per month, plus a $40 non-refundable enrollment fee.

First Friends Preschool is a member of the Oklahoma Baptist Church Weekday Education Association. The Preschool is administered by the Director, our children’s minister, Bro. Jim Hodson. Our teacher and assistant are both competent, understanding individuals with the experience, knowledge and love essential to teaching young children.

Our Purpose

The Purpose of First Friends Preschool is to provide care, education and developmental opportunities for children so that they may achieve their God given potential spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally and socially.

Objectives, in addition to all of the Oklahoma Department of Education Preschool Objectives listed in our handbook:

To effectively communicate God’s love for each child and their family
To help the church have a ministry to families.
Offer our community an early childhood program of the highest standards
Provide a safe, secure and loving environment to educate children and support families in the important task of raising children
Provide each child with a quality Christian experience that will meet his/her individual needs
Help children in the interactive process of learning, incorporating a spirit of cooperation and developing a positive attitude toward education

Our Curriculum

We are using two curriculums together, along with other ideas.

A Beka Curriculum. . .
is a Christian based curriculum of preschool Chapel lessons and colorful preschool workbooks for numbers, letters and cutting and pasting.

Wee Learn Curriculum. . .
is an age appropriate, developmentally based curriculum that provides a teaching theme for each week. Around the topics, teachers organize Bible stories and verses, hands-on activities, play and other developmental learning opportunities.

Our Facilities

Our Preschool is located in the four and five year old Sunday School rooms of our preschool wing, with a restroom between the two rooms. Our rooms are arranged into play-learning centers, where children can make choices for individual and small group activities, and we have large colorful rugs for circle time in the classrooms. We use the Heritage Room for our Chapel time. We have an outdoor playground in an enclosed, shaded area, with safe, modern equipment. We also have a large room that we can go to for indoor large muscle play, when needed.
Our Preschool wing is locked during First Friends Preschool hours for safety and education purposes.
